Comal County Crime Stoppers sponsors:
Turn in a Dealer Night
Residents all over Comal County and the surrounding New Braunfels area are invited to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline to report drug-dealing activities in their communities, on Thursday evening, October 25, 2007.
This special night coincides with Red Ribbon Week, October 21- 31, 2007.
Of course, the Crime Stoppers Hotline is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, but on this evening, special narcotics investigators will be on hand to man the phones.
State and local narcotics investigators, who will man the phones from 6PM to 9PM that evening, are eager to receive calls of drug activities. No call is too trivial. Certain suspicious activities in your neighborhood could indicate the activities of drug dealing, manufacture, and use.
Using the Crime Stoppers program ensures that the caller will remain anonymous. There is no caller ID, and the lines are not recorded, so there is no way for the caller to be identified. Each caller will be issued a tip number, and all transactions will be done with that number from that point on. Even the rewards payments, if approved by the board, are conducted in a way that the tipster is never identified. New for 2007 is the Comal County Crime Stoppers website, seen below. We now take tips online.
Please see the info on Red Ribbon Week as attached.
