Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s help in solving the repeated victimization of a non- profit group, which assists seniors in the Canyon Lake area.
The Director of Habitat for Safe Seniors, came in to the office at 2174 Old Sattler Road, in Startzville, after 7:00AM Monday, June 11, 2007. What she found set the group back in lost equipment, time and records.
The building had been forcefully entered. Once inside, the crooks made off with several computers, one a Dell and the other a HP brand. The offense occurred during the previous 24- hour period
Then, like a bad dream, thieves struck again overnight between Monday and Tuesday, September 3-4, 2007. Someone drove a vehicle and a trailer onto the property, and took a golf cart used to assist seniors in getting around, and maintaining the grounds. The cart is a Jacobsen Model M998 electric golf cart with windshield; green body, with a white top and a black tilt- bed.
