This week’s Crimes of the Week concern criminal incidents in the Cranes Mill area of Canyon Lake.
Burglary of a Habitation
C07-10-2053
The owner of a vacation home in the 200 block of Westhaven Dr. discovered forced entry to the residence on 10-21-07. Burglars ransacked the place, and took TVs, change, and one unique item; a replica antique brass cash register. The incident could have occurred anytime during the previous month.
Burglary of a Habitation
C07-11-1158
Another vacation home was burglarized in the 500 block of Buckingham, in the Rolling Hills subdivision. The incident occurred between Wednesday, November 7, to Monday, 12, 2007. Forced entry was made and crooks made off with a TV, Hitachi VCR, and a Magic Chef Stove. The TV is a German brand, which may be unique in this area.
Graffiti- Place of Worship
C07-11-0354
Between Friday, 11-2-07 and Sunday 11-4-07, someone made entry to the property of the Canyon Lake United Methodist Church, 206 Flintstone, and wrote graffiti on various fixtures. The church is located in the Canyon Lake Mobile Home Estates subdivision. Some of the writings were of a vulgar nature. This offense is a felony when perpetrated against a church, school, or other public/ community buildings or fixtures.
Comal County Sheriff’s investigators are looking for leads in these cases, and could use you’re help. If you have any information, and you wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers makes this offer.
