Comal County Sheriff’s Office
January 4, 2008
Canyon Lake, TX
Burglary of a Motor Vehicle
(Multiple incidents)
Our first “Crime of the Week” for 2008 highlights a rash of motor vehicle burglaries in the Cranes Mill area of Canyon Lake.
At least six victims in Canyon Lake Mobile Home Estates and Rolling Hills subdivisions made reports to Comal County Sheriff’s deputies that items were taken from they’re vehicles. There was no forced entry to any vehicle as all were left unlocked, so the pickings were easy for these crooks.
The streets affected were: Overhill, High View, Deer Valley, Flintstone, and King William. Most incidents occurred during the previous night or early morning hours of Wednesday, December 12, and Saturday, December 22, 2007. If your barking dog woke you up and you saw anyone roaming the streets you can identify, or you know who committed these offenses, Crime Stopper wants to hear from you.
Comal County Sheriff’s investigators are looking for leads in these cases, and could use your help. If you have any information, and you wish to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers makes this offer.
Crime Stoppers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000.00 for information leading to the arrest of the person(s) responsible for the commission of these crimes. All calls are confidential and the caller will remain anonymous.
